KAIMUG - Munich, Germany

Updated: Feb 1, 2023

Inspried by Thai local RICE BARN

Kaimug is a Thai restuarant in Europe, this is the first re-design after 10 years of their opening. This branch at Karlsplatz (Stachus) inspried by Local Thai Rice Barn vibe, the wood structure, manage the zoning inside the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant, we make it more simple but using graphic and the technique at the back wall, not to make the design too boring. And we use vintage tile pattern that Thais always decorate their front door home to be the gimmick on the wall.

We use gold leaf technique to decorate the wall. Thais use gold leaf to gilding on the Buddha statue, Thais believe that gold leaf will take a good things to their life. (Gold leaf is gold that has been hammered into thin sheets by goldbeating and is often used for gilding)
